The first trimester in your pregnancy is a difficult stage. It is in this stage that you experience a lot of changes in your body. Thankfully, with the help of your doctor, you understood how these changes happened. During the remaining months you’re already used to the changes that you encounter.

The delivery stage is the culminating event of the whole experience. In this stage, you encounter that roller coaster of emotions. You feel the anticipated labor pains and at the same time, you feel the excitement of welcoming a new baby in your life. The first time you lay your eyes on your baby boy is the defining moment. After that first sight, you have sworn to give your special one only the best.

Since he’s very special to you, you wouldn’t want him to be like all other babies. You want him to be unique and unlike any other so you decide to give him a unique baby name. After all, who wants a common name for their baby boy? You’d always want your baby to stand out.

The unique names that most of us encountered this year are probably those used by the celebrities. Among these names are Maddox, Zuma and Leon. These are not the names you commonly encounter but thanks to the status of these celebrities, it instantly became a common household name.

Also included in the unique baby names for boys are those derived from books or other pop culture characters such as Atticus, Caspian and Lestat. These unique names emerge because of the parent’s addiction or obsession from these characters. Also, most parents find it interesting to name their child after a character with the belief that the strengths or the personality of the character will be acquired by their child. It is an illogical reason but parents still go for it.

Some parents name them after a famous political figure. It goes with the same principle with the names after book and pop culture characters. Some of them include Kennedy, Clinton and Barrack.

Parents are also creative enough to come up with a name that is spelled backwards. Instead of using Michael, they use Leahcim. It sounds unique---there’s no question about that. The issue is if the child will want a really unique name later on which is hard to pronounce and remember.

If you’re really twisted, you can name your child after something that you really want. I had a classmate named Baby Ruth, obviously taken from the candy bar. Gwen Stefani had her second child named Zuma Nesta Rock. Rock was probably taken from Gwen’s love for rock music.

The list of unique baby names can go on and on. There’s no limit on how creative you can get with formulating a name for your special baby boy. Just be sure that whatever name you come up with, you’re not going to regret giving it to him later on. A name is something that your baby will carry all his life. You don’t want him to hate you for that.
